Payments API updates, Apple Pay improvements, and better log filtering
Last month, we made numerous updates across our payments products and Card APIs. We now have a collection of Insights and Verification APIs. Some of these APIs existed and some are new, like PAR Lookups. As a part of these changes, the Inspect API was renamed to Fingerprint and moved out of the Cards section of the docs since it's not a card-specific API. Existing integrations using the /inspect endpoint will continue to work, but migrate to /fingerprint when possible. Pricing is unchanged (Inspect pricing hasn't changed, and Fingerprint costs the same as Inspect).
We also shipped several Apple Pay updates, and improved log filtering in the dashboard. Several betas are still ongoing too. Check out the list below, and let us know if you're interested in joining any of them.
Betas
Pre-chargeback Alerts notify you when a cardholder raises a dispute with their issuer, giving you a window to resolve it before it escalates to a formal chargeback.
Intelligent Retries give you stronger signals for when to retry declined transactions, helping you to recover lost revenue.
Real-time Account Updater ensures you have the latest card number and expiration date for customers' cards. It helps maintain seamless billing without customers manually updating their card details. This results in higher authorization rates and reduced friction for customers.
